It was a pretty full plate for the final Boudin Barndance radio show of July. We remembered Swamp Pop legend Tommy McLain who passed away just a week ago. Along with the likes of Southern Louisiana comrades Johnnie Allan, Clint West and Rod Bernard, he helped defined the sound. Keeping it Louisiana, we also put the Barndance spotlight on the new Clifton Chenier tribute called A Tribute to the King of Zydeco. Prior to all of that, it was a first hour of new releases followed by the weekly C&W segment and then some odds and ends. New albums and singles making the Barndance hit parade for the first time tonight came from Cole Quest & the City Pickers, Hayes Carll, Silas Lowe, Dallas Burrow, Clover Country, Natalie Bergman, Luke Roberts & Kurt Vile, Pete Droge, The Last Revel, Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band, and Marshall Crenshaw.
