Tonight’s Boudin Barndance radio show was quite the full one. A couple of unplanned events as we remembered Mojo Nixon who passed unexpectedly just yesterday. We also remembered Wayne Kramer with a few MC5 tunes at show’s end. Planned on the agenda was our somewhat annual Mid-Winter Surf Extravaganza during the final hour of the night (though it sure hasn’t been very wintry around here). New releases filled the first hour before our weekly C&W segment. Albums and singles making their Barndance debut this evening came from Matt the Electrician, David Nance, Adia Victoria, Tony Gilkyson and local hero Matt Fraza. Buttshaker of the week???? Birthday gal Ruth Brown with “Mambo Baby.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
