The usual full agenda for this evening’s Boudin Barndance radio show. We continued our monthly Alt Country A to Z feature tonight during the 2nd half of the show. The feature looks back at the prime period of the genre from the mid-to-late 1980s to the early aughts. Tonight’s focus was “I” artists and I have to say, it was pretty thin, hence a little cheating with the International Submarine Band cut. New releases once again filled the first hour before our weekly C&W segment. Albums and singles making their Barndance debut this evening came from James Mastro, Molly Lewis, The Decemberists, Alejandro Escovedo, Silverada (formerly Mike & The Moonpies). Buttshaker of the week???? Mark Insley with “The Devil’s Knocking.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
