A busy night on the The Boudin Barndance. Mostly new stuff dominated the first hour before we moved into our weekly old school C&W-and-then-some set. The 2nd half of the program, we mixed it up. We put the spotlight on the new album on Bible & Tire Recording Co. from Elizabeth King. Gospel-soul at its finest. We also remembered Mr. Personality, Lloyd Price, who passed last week. New music making its Barndance debut tonight included singles and albums from Tony Joe White, Lula Wiles, Cave States, Bill & the Belles, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Los Lobos, the Flatlanders, Teenage Fanclub, Steve Goodman, and the aforementioned Elizabeth King. Buttshaker of the week???? Lloyd Price with “Tell Me Pretty Baby.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
