The usual busy night on The Boudin Barndance this evening. Our main feature was a remembrance of Gram Parson for the 50th anniversary of his passing on 9/19/73. We remembered Nashville-based bass player Dave Roe who passed late last week. Dave played with a who’s who of artists from the country world and in recent years was part of the Easy Eye Sound Records studio band. We opened a show with a set of music from artists playing the FreshGrass Festival this weekend at MassMOCA in North Adams, MA. New albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from Buffalo Nichols. Buttshaker of the week???? How about Sunny War with “No Reason.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
