I’ll also play music from John Buck Wilkins, who wrote the original songs for director Dennis Hopper’s much-mythologized (and maligned) “The Last Movie. ”
On tonight’s show I’ll play from a 1980 country music concept album written by Paul Kennerley, based on the outlaw Jesse James, featuring Levon Helm, Emmylou Harris and Johnny Cash.
I’ll also pay tribute to the late Texas singer-songwriter Nanci Griffith.
