A bit of an abbreviated Boudin Barndance this evening (only 2 out the usual 3 hours). Nonetheless, we squeezed in as much as possible. Previewed both Anais Mitchell’s show at Music at Lilypads in Peace Dale on Saturday night and Marcia Ball’s at The Knickerbocker Café a night earlier. Also did a remembrance of the late Country Music Hall of Fame member Faron Young who would’ve been 80 this week. New or recent releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included albums from Otis Taylor, Tav Flaco (reissue), Andre Williams, Otis Gibbs, Rose Cousins, Winterpills, and John Wesley Coleman. Buttshaker of the week???? Tav Falco & the Panther Burns shaking it big time with “She’s the One That’s Got It”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
