This evening was the The Boudin Barndance edition of the 2013 WRIU Radiothon fundraiser and we once again the calls were plenty. Thank you all! Support was overwhelming and all callers will once again be getting our very nifty Boudin Barndance bumpersticker to stick wherever they’d like. They are pretty sharp looking and we thank long-time listener Paul for making it a reality. If you didn’t get to call in, you can still pledge your support for a few weeks more via our web site at www.wriu.org. We also thank the Boudin Barndance support staff, Liz, Nancy, & Jimmy, for helping out on the phones and making the chore of pledging so pleasant for the callers. The golden touch once more. We’d also like to give a big thanks to Swank at Bloodshot Records, Bill at Cow Island Music, and Lindsay at Thirty Tigers for contributing CDs for giveaways. Hat’s off to them! As for the music, it was an evening of two-song sets with lots of begging in between. We did debut one new release from Black Lillies. Buttshaker of the week???? What with the begging for money aspect of the program, Lefty Frizzell’s “If You’ve Got the Money, I’ve Got the Time” takes the prize. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
