After a week of fundraising for our annual WRIU Radiothon last week, it was back to business as usual on The Boudin Barndance this week. In other words, lots of music with not a whole lot of talk. Kicked off the show with a set in remembrance of one of the original “outlaw” singer/songwriter’s, Steve Young, who passed the week before last. Featured music from Aubrie Sellers who was playing a surprise pop-up show at Nick-a-Nee’s in Providence on Thursday night. (And it was a fine one!) Caught up on a bunch of new releases all making their Barndance debut. They included albums from Haroula Rose, Parker Millsap, Long Trees, Robbie Fulks, Corin Raymond, Hackensaw Boys, Ruby Boots, Lee Harvey Osmond, Glenn Jones, and Michael Daves. Buttshaker of the week???? Birthday boy Bud Isaacs with “Bud’s Boogie”. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
