A happening night on the Boudin Barndance this evening. We previewed a few
upcoming events. First up was Amy LaVere who plays the Narrows Center for
the Arts in Fall River, MA tomorrow evening (www.ncfta.org). Next was Eilen
Jewel & Vince Thompson who appear at The Knickerbocker Cafe in Westerly next
Thursday. Finally, we previewed the 10th annual Roots On the River Festival
happening June 11-14 at various locations in and around Bellows Falls, VT.
It’s a great, small festival that comes highly recommended and once again
has a stellar lineup for 2009. New releases making their Barndance debut
this evening included recordings from Chuck Mead, Jerry Sires Band, Adam
Hood, The Dexateens, the Song for Sally compilation, and for you $5 Cover
fans, the EP from Snowglobe. Buttshaker of the week???? Johnny Bond with
“like Nothing, Man”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
