The night was highlighted by a remembrance of the late Floyd Tillman who passed on 08/22/03. Closed out the show with a couple of sets of his music. Lots of preview action tonight, too, on the Barndance. Previewed the Pernice Brothers show at the Century Lounge in Providence this same night. Also previewed and gave tickets away to the Iguanas, also at the Century Lounge, on Friday night. Finally, played some stuff from Eric Ambel who along with his Roscoe’s Trio invades Southern New England for house concerts on Friday and Saturday ngiht (the latter under the guise of yours truly). As for new entries on the Barndance hit parade, releases from Kim Lenz, Dave & Deke Combo, Uncle Earl, Susan Gibson, The (Texas) Sapphires, and the Volebeats all made debuts on tonight’s show. Buttshaker of the night???? Rockabilly gal Kim Lenz with “Devil On My Shoulder”. Now onto the goods…..
