Lots happening on this evening’s Boudin Barndance. We remembered Opry member
Charlie Walker who passed away last week by playing a set of some of his hit
tunes-and-then-some. We featured music from Will Kimbrough who plays a
house concert hosted by yours truly this coming Sunday. A number of new
releases making their Barndance debut tonight. They included Mark
Erelli, Old Crow Medicine Show, I’m Not Jim, Idgy Vaughn (at Common Fence
Point Community Hall on 9/27), Calexico, and the recent Daptone Records a
capella gospel compilation Como Now. Buttshaker of the week???? Andre
Williams with the New Orleans Hellhounds spewing out “Never Had a Problem”.
