Well, it’s been raining for about a week straight here in Rhode Island and looks
like it will continue into the weekend. Doors are swelling, houses are getting
houseatosis with all the dampness, but it couldn’t stop the Boudin Barndance
from raining on the Southern New England airwaves tonight. In the artist
spotlight was Peter Case who plays a house concert hosted by yours truly on
Saturday night. In the album spotlight was the new reissue of David Allan Coe’s
“Penitentiary Blues” on Hacktone Records. Damn if I didn’t forget how good that
record was. New stuff receiving first time spins on tonight’s show included
releases from John Coinman, Grassy Knoll Boys, Darryl Lee Rush, Charlie Sexton,
and the aforementioned Coe reissue. Buttshaker of the night???? Wayne the
Train who plays a couple of shows in New England this weekend with
“Winespodiode”. Now onto the goods…..
