Lots of stuff going on in Barndance Boudin Land this evening. We featured music from a bunch of bands playing as part of Bloodshot Records’ CMJ BBQ happening at Union Pool in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon. Music begins at 1 PM. Check out www.bloodshotrecords.com for the complete skinny. We featured music from Amy LaVere who plays a house concert on Sunday afternoon in Peace Dale, R.I. hosted by your truly (and his lovely wife). Keeping with the Memphis motif of Ms. LaVere, we closed out the show with a bevy of sounds from that historic outpost. Lots of releases making their Barndance debut this evening. Included were new albums from The Hacienda Brothers, T. Tex Edwards, The Mother Truckers, and the Scotland Yard Gospel Choir. Buttshaker of the night?????
