Halloween Eve found the Boudin Barndance kicking off with some tunes in
keeping with the fright side of things. What with Laika & the Cosmonauts
and Los Straitjackets at the Narrows Center For the Arts in Fall River this
evening, they got the whole enchilada going. Aside from that, it was odds &
ends and country vittles the rest of the way. New releases making the
Barndance hit parade for the first time included recent recordings from the
Asylum Street Spankers, Menahan Street Band (phones ringing off the hook on
this one), and Lucinda Williams. Buttshaker of the week???? Jackie
Morningstar with “Rockin’ In the Graveyard”. Now let’s all grab a cold one
and get to the goods……
