Lots happening on this evening’s Boudin Barndance. Featured music from Syd Straw, both solo and guest appearance stuff, who plays a house concert at yours truly’s place this Sunday. Remembered the late Gram Parsons & Doug Sahm on their birthdays (11/5 & 11/6, respectively). Completed our two-part Bloodshot BBQ in Brooklyn preview. It all goes down at Union Pool in Brooklyn this Saturday afternoon, November 4. Check out for the complete skinny. Oh yeah, Scott H. Biram plays at Jake’s Bar & Grill in Providence on Sunday evening. Closed things out with a couple from this week’s Austin Chronicle cover boy, Cornell Hurd. All I can say is it’s about time they honored him with a front page shot. Buttshaker of the night????? Our birthday boy for today, Grand Ol’ Opry star Charlie Walker (80 years old today) with “Too Many Nights in Too Many Arms”. Now onto the goods….
