With the temperature dropping by the minute here on the East coast, The Boudin Barndance was hopefully the place you all headed tonight to warm up. (I know our fan Lori-Ellen sure did, bourbon in hand.) Because of a pre-emption next week and schedule issues the following, this evening was the last Boudin Barndance of 2016. We sprinkled music throughout the evening from the 2016 Oxford American Magazine Southern Music Sampler #18 which has just come out. We also played some holiday stuff near show’s end. Other than that, it was the usual potpourri. Albums making their Barndance debut tonight included music from Margaret Glaspy, Joe K. Walsh, Balsam Ridge, The Piedmont Melody Makers, and Kacey Musgraves. Buttshaker of the week???? Keeping in the holiday spirit, the most missed Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings with “Just Another Xmas Song.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….

OH YEAH, see you on January 5, 2017 when we’ll look back at 2016 favorites!
