The script for this week’s Boudin Barndance was written on Monday with the passing of the country music icon Ray Price. We are huge fans of Mr. Price’s music, hence devoting the entire 2nd half of the program to his material and all coming from the beautiful Bear Family box set (and which I once tried to get Ray to autograph and when he saw it he threatened to smash it to pieces until Jimmy Day intervened). We played a whole total of two Xmas tunes, so that was our salute to the holiday. We did debut new releases from The Parson Red Heads, Possessed by Paul James, and Starlings, TN. Buttshaker of the night????? Shuffle prevailed this evening and Mr. Price takes the big salami with “Heart Over Mind”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods…
