This evening was a show to get ready fro the big one, as in the storm to hit
here tomorrow and continue through Saturday. Almost like a holiday the way
they’r closing things left and right tomorrow. Anyway, The Boudin Barndance
was a storm primer (though not that different from the usual Barndance mix).
The new Bloodshot release from Roger Knox & the Pine Valley Cosmonauts was
in the Barndance spotlight this evening. It’s a good one. Also did a mini
Mardi Gras celebratory set featuring music from New Orleans, et al. New
releases making their Barndance debut this evening in addition to the Roger
Knox album were releases from Henry Wagons, The Steeldrivers, Richard
Thompson, The Parson Red Heads, and belatedly The Golden Boys. Buttshaker
of the week???? In the Mardi Gras spirit, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band with
“Mardi Gras in New Orleans”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the
