This evening was the The Boudin Barndance edition of the 2012 WRIU Radiothon fundraiser and we once again tied our record for number of calls (2nd year in a row). Thank you all! Support was overwhelming and all callers will be getting our very nifty Boudin Barndance bumpersticker to stick wherever they’d like. They are pretty sharp looking and we thank long-time listener Paul for making it a reality. If you didn’t get to call in, you can still pledge your support for a few weeks more via our web site at www.wriu.org. We also thank the Boudin Barndance support staff, Liz, Nancy, & Jimmy, for helping out on the phones and making the chore of pledging so pleasant for the callers. The golden touch once more. We’d also like to give a big thanks to both Bloodshot Records and Numero Group records for contributing CDs for giveaways. Hat’s off to them! As for the music, it was an evening of two-song sets with lots of favorites in the mix. We did debut one new release from Todd Snider. Buttshaker of the week???? What with the begging for money aspect of the program, The A-Bones once again take the big kielbasa with a cover of Benny Joy’s “Money, Money”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
