Between lots of new things and previews of shows and festivals, we were busy as
a beaver on the Boudin Barndance this evening. The fact that the AC was
non-functional in our 3rd floor bunker made for a very sweaty studio, too. On
the preview front, we played a mess of swamp pop and gave away a pair of tix for
Austin-based swamp pop band Larry Lange & the Lonely Nights who play at Cafe
Nine (www.cafenine.com) in New Haven, CT tomorrow evening (Friday, June 2).
Also previewed and gave away a pair of tickets for the Roots on the River
Festival on Saturday, June 10 in Bellows Falls, VT. It’s part of the Fred
Eaglesmith Weekend in Bellows Falls which begins on Thursday the 8th and
continues through Sunday the 11th. It’s a pretty nifty event. Check out

Johnny Paycheck’s birthday. In addition to that, we featured music from Tim
Easton who plays a house concert hosted by yours truly on Sunday, June 4. It’s
a 4 PM show and we still have a few spots available. On the new release front,
first time spins went out to recent releases from The Derailers, Shearwater, Ben
Vaughn, Kris Delmhorst, and Al Anderson. Buttshaker of the night?????? A
little 7-inch action circa-1965 called “Bat Man” from The Sensors. Now onto the
goods…..
